Report from the Logical Olympiad Finals 2013
It was a cold, windy morning on Monday, 25th of November, 2013. The Logical Olympiad Finals in the Ball Games Room of Prague Castle was at its beginning. The day was a culmination of several months of work, carried out by many Mensans, working with children who are unafraid to use their own brains, from all over the Czech Republic.

After the winners were announced and prizes for victories handed over, photographs were taken, and then I had the opportunity to perform an interview with all of them.
Regional round of the Logical Olympiad 2013 in the South Bohemian Region
The metropolis of South Bohemia was one of the places hosting regional rounds of the Logical Olympiad at the beginning of November. The premises of the Regional Council welcomed 40 students from each age category. Pupils and students from each category were always separately tasked with one written and one projected test. After that, the tests were evaluated and winners announced.
Regional round of the Logical Olympiad 2013 in the Hradec Kralove Region
On Friday, 18th November, a regional round of the Logical Olympiad took place in the Hradec Králové Region, as well as in the entire Czech Republic. The core of the team of organizers remained practically unchanged from the previous year, so we were able to draw on our previous experience. Like last year, we again struck a successful co-operation with the Department of Education of the Regional Council of the Hradec Králové Region, who once again provided us with the premises for participation. Still, we had to cope with some novelties.
Regional round of the Logical Olympiad 2013 in Prague
On Friday, 8th November, the premises of Mensa Grammar School hosted the regional round of the Logical Olympiad. It was the sixth year of the competition organized by Mensa CR. All morning, participants competed to qualify for the national finals. At the same time, IQ testing took place in other rooms, both in the morning and in the afternoon.
Regional round of the Logical Olympiad 2013 in the Central Bohemian Region – an interview with Jitka Tkadlecová and Jiří Luka
On Friday, 8th November, the Open Gate School hosted the participants of the regional round of the 2013 Logical Olympiad. Shortly after the competition, I addressed Jitka Tkadlecová, the Press Secretary of The Kellner Family Foundation, and Jiří Luka, the Deputy Principal of the Open Gate Primary School. I would like to hereby thank them both for the interview and for the opportunity to organize the regional round in the welcoming environment of the Open Gate School. My gratitude is also directed towards all volunteers who participated in organizing the regional round.
